The 2nd Life of Fashion Conference | Web Design, Digital Prototyping, Typography | April–May 2025

Figma Prototype

This website was designed as the online hub for The 2nd Life of Fashion, an expanded continuation of my Visual Rhetoric Poster & T-Shirt project, supporting a hypothetical three-day sustainable fashion conference in Kansas City.

The challenge was to translate the conference’s focus on overconsumption into a digital experience that demonstrated ethos, pathos, and logos as persuasive strategies.

Behind The Design

Building on the typographic system from the poster project, I developed a cohesive visual identity for the site, maintaining continuity across the conference branding.

The hero section features a bold video of a pile of purses to establish emotional impact, while hierarchy, structured content, and featured speakers reinforce credibility and guide users through schedules, ticketing, and resources.

Visual choices—including a monochromatic palette of earthy greens, clean serif body text, and cursive display headers—support clarity, legibility, and a tactile, human quality.

Through these decisions, the website delivers an informative, persuasive, and emotionally engaging experience that connects visitors to the conference theme.

The project demonstrates my ability to translate physical design concepts into digital platforms, structure complex content hierarchies, and apply persuasive strategies to interactive experiences.
